Traveler Reviews and Photos of Milford Plaza Hotel
Good location
by VirtualTourist.com member MoNewcamp

I would Not recommend staying here. We had 3 rooms in July 07 and they all had different problems. The air conditioning only worked in some rooms some of the time or not at all, the shower would stop running water and start again at anytime and tub would not drain. Bed Bugs in some rooms ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
A MUST STAY FOR TOURISTS!!!!
by VirtualTourist.com member dazzer42

I had a short week vacation in New York in Jan 2007 and stayed at the Milford Plaza which is on 45th and 8st which is ideally located in Midtown Manhattan. What I liked most about this hotel is it's prime location from a tourist's point of view. The rooms are clean, comfortable and most ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
Not Too Horrible...
by VirtualTourist.com member Scaramouche21

The Milford Plaza has long been a favorite hotel for my family. What can I say? They're good Jews. Although far from poor, my family cannot help but seek the best "deal" everywhere travelled. Recently, I've begun to doubt this hotel's "value". The rooms are tiny -- not at all ideal for ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com

Sleeping in the core of the Great Apple
by VirtualTourist.com member Lydita

Maybe isn't the most luxurious hotel of NYC, but, who does need to stay in a hotel room being in such an amazing city, with so many things to visit? Maybe the staff isn't the nicest people, or the hotel isn't the cleanest that I've seen in my life, but everythings ok. The rooms are a bit ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
Nice, central, not too expensive
by VirtualTourist.com member feag

We stayed in the Milford Plaza in our January visit, it is very central, a 10 min walk up to Times Square and has cafes all around for breakfasts and a great pizza restaurant 2 mins walk round the corner. see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
Milford Plaza - in the heart of Broadway
by VirtualTourist.com member clairegeordio

Despite other reviews I have read elsewhere, my sister and I really loved this hotel! We had a room on the 22nd floor, really quiet. I think it was a corner room, was quite big. It was very clean and comfortable. There is a good front desk where you can book excursions and Broadway show ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com

Milford Plaza is conveniently located in the Theatre Distric only blocks from Times Square and a vast array of bars. The staff is courteous and the rooms and nice and plush like you would expect in New York, but you'll barely pay three digits a night to stay here. Sometimes, less ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com

"Glitch in the System" Beware
by VirtualTourist.com member lucylulu07

We booked a room at the Milford thru hotelbook.com for an unbelievably low price. We were in such disbelief that we initially thought it was a hoax. So we called the reservation office 2 days before and they did confirm that such booking exists. Come check-in day, we went around Manhattan ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
A good deal for the money / Excellent location
by VirtualTourist.com member JoeHand

My father, son, and I stayed at the Milford Plaza Hotel April 8, 2008 through April 12, 2008, and I must say that I was quite impressed. Usually, we stay at the Edison Hotel on 47th street, but I wanted to try something different. I was not disappointed with the Milford Plaza. I found it ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com

New York City Tour
by VirtualTourist.com member irishmom

Great place to serve as your home base for a whirlwind tour of the the Big Apple. A comfortable room close to everything. Excellent security. A pretty good size room for NYC, bath is typical/minimalist, but remember you are NOT paying $500 a night for a room. I would highly recommend this ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
In the thick of it!
by VirtualTourist.com member Joseph69

The hotel is not that great by international standards, but compared to what you pay for in New York, well, it's not that bad. The rooms aren't very big. In fact, the rooms are one of the smallest I have experienced in my life! But, they are regularly cleaned, there is an ensuite and the ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com

Milford Plaza Hotel: In the Heart of Manhattan
by VirtualTourist.com member aheritage

I highly recommend the Milford Plaza if you're looking for a good value hotel without having to worry about the quality. I stayed here for three nights in March 2004. Somewhere to rest those weary feet.
by VirtualTourist.com member Happyhead

The Milford Plaza has had a few less than complementary reviews on this site but as it is only a couple of blocks away from Time Square it is perfectly located. We didn't have any problems with our stay, its not a homely place thats for sure but with all trecking around you do in New York ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
No frills
by VirtualTourist.com member EnglishEd

I stayed here in April 2004 and got exactly what I expected - a no frills hotel in a good location. The room we had was tiny, by far the smallest I've ever had from a hotel in America but for the price and location it was fine. There's so much to do in NYC we didn't spend much time in ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
Excellent Location!
by VirtualTourist.com member Shandrew

Four of us stayed there July 6,7 and 8th. Yes, the room was small, but it was not a dump. It was quite clean, not noisy (we were on the 5th floor), and the bathroom was well stocked and clean. Tub, toilet and sink all in one room. I usually prefer a door between sink and other ammenities ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com

Well, we have stayed here a lot and I have found mixed reviews so I will tell you the truth: Customer service is not so good. But this remains of the few reasonably priced Hotels around. Great Base to Tour From
by VirtualTourist.com member CdnJane

My visit to the hotel was about 1984, so I'm sure it has changed for the better or worse since then. I went to NYC with 3 girl friends and this was in our price range, and allowed us to have one big room for the 4 of us. My previous experience in NYC was staying at a more upscale hotel - ... see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
OK if you are on a budget
by VirtualTourist.com member ElDiabloRojo

The Milford Plaza is okay if you are on a budget. Accommodation in New York is very expensive so I stayed here and the room I was in was in desparate need of repair. I stuck with it for 4 days though, as I was not in New York to spend my time in a hotel room see more reviews from VirtualTourist.com
Location and economical
by VirtualTourist.com member carwol

Service was good. I stayed in a room with a friend and found out that there was a limit per day per room for cashing travelers cheques (not per person) which made it difficult at times. Great location, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, secure. Recommended. I was on the 23rd floor and could see Times Square from my room.
